[On the Fields of Justice, a champion was supposed to fight at the will of the Summoner without fear or concern, or indeed without worry of death. Magic seared and blades tore all the same, but those wounds would heal. Even death would pass in time, on the Rift.

But sometimes even the hardiest of champions needed a breather after a battle. Garen sat in the dimly lit room in the depths of the Institute of War, sword leaning against the bench on which he rested, and held up his hand to the light. He curled and moved his fingers experimentally. In the past match, Katarina had cut his hand off as he had lay dying. It was an odd feeling, really.

In the end they'd won, so it wasn't like he could really complain.]

Okay, Veigar was always grumpy in general. But he was especially grumpy when his team lost. Stupid Sivir, using that stupid shield of hers to run right through his stupid event horizon boundary. Why didn't she ever fall for it?

So the tiny master of evil sat on a stump in summoner's rift, kicking his legs back and forth and fuming. Next time, next time he'd have to use a magic blast to pop that shield before using his stun field. Yes, that was the ticket. Next time, he'd have her. Next time!!*
